Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Our cookout lunch seemed such a small expression of gratitude in comparison to the amazing changes, upgrades and hard work involved in this renovation.  We all love our new look and feel!!  The patients also comment on how beautiful our unit is and those who have been here before report the environment is so much better now for their healing.

I cannot emphasize enough how intensely your Teams worked with my Behavioral Health Team to ensure safety and minimize disruption to patient care, therapy programing and work flows during this challenging metamorphosis.  No one can appreciate how difficult it is to work around behavioral health patients who move freely in the workspace unless they have actually done it.  Some of our patients are very sick and some are dangerous to themselves and others.  At no time did your workers discount this.  They were always receptive to this necessary collaboration.  You all made it work and we kept our patients safe.  What an accomplishment!!

Now we have all created a bit of a legacy here and I am extremely proud to have been a part of our project.  Many thanks to each of you and your Teams!!

With sincerest and utmost appreciation and respect,

Shelly and the Behavioral Health Team

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

RE: BUILDING BLOCKS

We began construction of Building Blocks Childcare on Vinson Road on November 4, 2009. After more than 5 months of work, the building was totally destroyed by an arsonist on April 5, 2010. At that time, the building was approximately 75% completed.

Following release of the building by police, fire and insurance investigators, we began demolition of fire debris and cleaning and repairing the building pad. On April 27, 2010, the Town of Clayton issued a new building permit and we began the process of rebuilding the structure. I asked each of you to make an extra effort to expedite the process in order to deliver a completed building to the Owner to meet her original schedule for occupancy by mid August, 2010.

Thanks for your extra special efforts, we delivered the 14,616 SF building in only 84 days. A Certificate of Occupancy was issued by the Town of Clayton and presented to Owner on July 21, 2010. Every member of the team worked diligently and did their part to assist the Owner’s needs and requirements. It was an awesome display of co-operation, determination and effort and I am deeply grateful for your response and I can assure you the Owner, Ms. Lois Stephenson is pleased with your performance and response to a crisis situation.

Led by our tireless leader, David Price, this team was able to accomplish extraordinary achievements during a difficult time. Every member of our team is to be commended for performance that initially was labeled as impossible when I first asked to meet the August challenge.

Beginning with Insurance Adjuster, Paul Meyer; First Citizens Bank Representatives, Jeff Carver and Kim Dowdle; the Clayton Fire Department, Police Department and Inspections Department (John Harris) all assisted us in positioning ourselves and workers to commence this Herculean effort.

Under David’s leadership, tireless work ethic and organizational skills all of the partners performed under pressure while continuing our high standards for quality workmanship. Again I am deeply grateful for your response to my request for special attention and performance.

I would be remiss if I did not also express our appreciation to Owner, Lois Stephenson who was always quick to respond to our requests for information. Her dedication to the project and total co-operation made our tasks possible.

On behalf of Stephenson General Contractors, please accept my deepest thanks and gratitude for a job well done – quickly. The performance here shows what can be accomplished when every member of the team performs as requested with total commitment.
